Clothing at the time was very basic. Both Celts and Saxons, men and women, wore a variation on the "T tunic", which is about the same as a very long, belted t-shirt. Men wore theirs knee length over pants, while women had ankle-length dresses. Moccasin-like shoes were popular. Tunics were layered for warmth, and both men and women wore a large rectangular piece of wool fastened at the neck for a cape.
